The systems
Six mechanics Rockstar confirmed. We separate what was shown on screen from what was only stated — most coverage doesn’t.
Criminal Profile
ConsequenceRockstar-confirmedRockstar’s stated answer to Red Dead Redemption 2’s Honor system — context-aware rather than a single good/bad slider. The on-screen icon is the Crime Report Symbol.
We refused this claim when its only source was a live blog published before the footage existed. The showcase confirmed it. Both facts are on the record.
Six-star wanted level
PoliceRockstar-confirmedPolice track six independent descriptors — face, clothes, crew, car, CCTV and gun — with hollow stars for a partial identification.
This is the biggest structural change from GTA 5. Being seen is no longer one number: change your clothes or your car and part of the description stops matching.
Three-pot economy
MoneyRockstar-confirmedMoney lives in a bank account, as cash, and in a duffel bag. Dirty cash has to go through a fence, and deposits are ATM-only.
Chapter progression is money-gated, so the economy is a pacing mechanism rather than a scoreboard.
Health · Stamina · Focus
VitalsRockstar-confirmedThree meters top-left, shown in the Extended Look. Focus is the new one.
A San Andreas-style attribute layer sits underneath, with per-activity buffs — playing basketball raises Focus.
Fuel
VehiclesRockstar-confirmedVehicles use fuel, and electric ones recharge. Gas stations have a menu with separate refuel and repair prices.
Confirmed by Rockstar’s Rob Nelson rather than shown on screen — so we label it confirmed, not shown. The fuel gauge icon circulating online is still leak-only.
Dual protagonists
StoryRockstar-confirmedJason and Lucia, switchable — including mid-mission, such as swapping driver and shooter during a chase.
With a caveat most coverage skips: some missions lock you to one character.
Six regions
Named by Rockstar. The total area has never been published — so every “X times bigger than GTA 5” figure in circulation is invented.
Vice City
The centre. Rockstar’s Miami.
Leonida Keys
The island chain to the south.
Grassrivers
Wetlands — the Everglades analogue.
Port Gellhorn
A coastal town in the panhandle.
Ambrosia
Inland.
Mount Kalaga
A national park.
